Game of thrones season 7

The release date for the seventh season of Game of Thrones, one of the most popular TV series over the past few years, is set for June 25, 2017. It is already known how this season will differ from the previous six. Firstly, the number of episodes will be reduced from ten to seven due to an increase in the budget for each individual episode. Secondly, winter will finally come in the universe of the series, as evidenced by the postponed release dates of the season: the weather in Ireland, Iceland and Spain, where filming took place, was too warm. That is why the creators decided not to use artificial snow and wait for real cold weather and snowstorms.

New season of Game of Thrones

It is worth noting that the storyline of the beginning of the seventh season will be based on draft versions of George R.R. Martin's book The Winds of Winter, and, to be precise, the story will continue from the second part of the story. The second half of the season will be based on draft versions of the latest book in the best-selling series – “Dream of Spring,” which the author plans to complete in 2017 after the release of the series. This also suggests that, most likely, the eighth season will be the last for the cult saga.
