FAST AND THE FURIOUS 9

Fast and Furious 9 is the latest installment in the long-running Fast and the Furious film franchise. Fortunately, having given up racing and criminal activities, Dom became a family man with Letty and their son Roman. Unfortunately, the plane carrying their former enemy Cipher was hijacked and she went missing, meaning Dom and his entire gang of friends-turned-family were suddenly in grave danger. To add fuel to the fire, it appears that Dom's long-lost blood brother Jacob has returned to make life difficult for the gang.

Dominic "Dom" Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) have settled into a unique, self-contained lifestyle, devoted to each other and their son Roman (Tyrese Gibson). Their new life is a family and a farewell to their dangerous past. But then their chosen family of friends Tej (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges) and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) show up, informing them that their lives are all in danger.

Criminal mastermind Cipher (Charlize Theron) was rescued from captivity while on a plane ride to prison. Dom and the gang's former nemesis pose a huge threat to everyone, so they meet in Montequinto to see what clues they can find in the plane's wreckage.

Unfortunately, the bad situation gets worse when they discover the evil Otto (Thue Erstad Rasmussen); he recruited Dom's brother Jacob Toretto (John Cena) to wrest Cypher's opportunity to join their team. He also wants Jacob to kill his brother Dom. Together, their team will piece together a gadget that will allow Otto to control every security network in the world, essentially becoming the leader of every country on the globe. Dom has a job to do to stop his talented assassin brother Jacob and end his mad quest for world domination.

Directed and co-written by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek Beyond), the almost comical nature of the stunt scenes totally works as he goes for something ridiculously cool with some never-before-seen action scenes. Lin's talent is to bring something similar to the franchise, but bigger and bolder. Aside from the fact that introducing Dom a new blood brother is bullshit, he pits the two beasts against each other with panache, scowl and all.

There are no major flaws in Fast & Furious 9 if it's just a fun way to marvel at some crazy stunts that would never be possible in real life. But the realization that this is unrealistic makes it possible to enjoy the height of flight, destroying cars and motorcycles and causing bruises to the body. Knowing that a new character could show up at any moment because either he's not completely dead or that he existed all along and we just didn't know it only adds to the Looney Tunes and James Bond storyline.

Suspense of disbelief is attacked from all sides, as physics no longer applies to cars or people in Fast and Furious 9. However, it's a lot of fun to watch the big guys and bad girls race each other to the bitter end, only to mercilessly pummel each other into destruction. all the scenery around you. The pulsating action does not subside, even when logically it should, and leads to a very long romp in the car chase and fist fight.
